    Hi, I know that converting the 2005 toyota tacoma prerunner from 2wd to 4wd is possible, but is it Realistc? secondly what is an estimated cost? and who could do it?

    I've heard of people talking about it but I think the costs were to much and not practical. I'm assuming the dealership would be able to do it cut they will charge you up the ying yang.:eek:

    To save time and lots of money, I would sell your PreRunner and buy a 4x4. Or just buy another truck. Have a DD and a play truck.. Everyone needs a play truck :D

    I want to do it at one point a good ways down the road. My Taco is paid off and we have 70K miles together, not gonna sell it.

    For most people it will be a hell of a lot easier to trade for a 4x4.
