i have an 06 with the stock 6 disc cd in dash cd changer with the controls on the steering wheel.
does anyone know if USA-SPEC Model # PA15-TOY will allow you to control your ipod from the steering wheel controls?

    Nothing yet, brand new!
After reading through the description I would say, yes, you have limited control through the steering wheel controls with this. Just as you would with the optional cd changer you can control, move, through playlists and still have further control with the factory head unit. Hmm now I need one of these.. Thanks for putting me onto this..

Did we ever do a group buy on these??

I have it hooked up to my 6 disk and it works fine and you can control it through your steering wheel. Try looking for one on the buy/sell forum. Thats where I got mine for $80, but have seen them as low as $40.

I'm looking at these on Amazon and I keep hearing about some aux cable

Do i need to buy any additional things with the toy-15?

And the aux port in my 09, under the a/c control is broken. Does that matter?

I have an '09 with an AUX port as well - and using this PA15-TOY bypasses that. It connects to your iphone/ipod from USB port on the bottom of the phone. You don't need to use the crappy AUX port anymore.

I got this kit... didn't need an extra cord or anything:

Thanks. I'm choosing this over the grom, and yes I have read up on grom. But what's the big differences?

And do you know anything about the USA spec toy-DF?

I'm not sure about how this compares to other ipod integration products out there because I just bought this model, and after about a month I couldn't be happier with it. I don't have to crank the volume because my AUX port is crappy anymore. Just plug in and enjoy.

As for the box that comes with the kit, I put mine in the glove box and tied the extra wire together so it's not flopping around in there. The wire that connects from the box to my iphone comes out of a dummy plug I have next to the AUX port and I just sit my iphone in the cupholder.
