Well yes and no, if you think they are problems. I had a hard time getting use to the controls, and all of that defrost stuff, but that is me and it is like that on all the Toyota's I have had. My A/C freezes my butt off, I end up adding some heat to it. Wife loves it, but not for me.
As for all the tec stuff, NO good to go on the 05.

No problems on the 07 or the 08.
What type of problem are you having?
Is it not coming on at all or doe it not cool well?
Does the compressor run? Fan blow out warm or cool air?

well one day I was on the highway to go out riding. I was climbing a hill plus there was heavy winds and for some reason I just wanted to turn on the a/c cause I haven't used it in so long. then I was just feeling warm air blowing out but the weird thing is when I came back from riding to warm up my truck I tried the a/c again and it worked, how weird.
