Prerunner lift - spindles or ????

Been reading a lot about the spindle lifts for the 2nd gen prerunner. I just dont want to move the front wheels any further outboard like the spindle lifts do.

That said, what are others doing to lift their 2nd gen prerunner?
I have a 2011 and want to lift it around 3 inches. I dont plan any off-road.
All highway. Looks only.

Why are the spindle lifts so popular?

 

I have 3" of lift via 5100s @ .85, 1/4" top plate spacer and eibach coils. Running 285s. If I had it to do over again, I would run spindles for more lift.

 

spindles will give you more clearance (who cares its for looks right? lol)

spindles are your best bet, or you can go to a.... drop bracket for a 6 inch lift what size tires are you wanting to run?

 

Looking to run 265/75/16 or 265/70/17......both are around 31.5 diameter and 10.5 wide

 

You don't need a 3" lift to run a 265. You can run 5100s set at 1.75" and keep your stock coils.

 

You can fit both of those at stock height.

Spindles are so popular because they do not change any of the suspension geometry or the ride characteristics from stock. All they do is move the wheel hub down 3.5-4".

 

31.6s and spindles would look goofy.... if your just getting those id get billies set at .85

 

what is the most popular tire size for the 4 inch spindle lift?
I dont want a really wide tire, tall is OK, just dont want super wide

spindles only push out your tires like 3/4 of an inch, its not like long travel or anything..
