Has anyone installed the Directed Electronics 545t Nite-Lite System? I just bought one and the directions leave much to the imagination. If you installed this and have either a source for installation instructions or can put together a DIY post that would be awesome.

Here's a link to the unit. Got it for $29.99 on Amazon.

Seems like a great system so you never have to turn on/off your headlights. No tickets, no dead battery!

I thought tacomas already did this if you just leave your lights in the on position. They turn off when you exit the vehicle.

Its a kit that automatically turns on the headlights when it is dark or when the wipers come on. He isn't talking about turning them off with the ignition.

You can leave the light switch on and they'll go off when you turn off ignition and open door. Two problems - during the day the stereo lights are dimmed and with sunglasses on I can't read it. Also heard that leaving lights on all the time causes a small drop in MPG.

Light bar and bumper guard, 3/16 steel skid plates for engine, tranny and transfer box, OME 881 springs with 5100 shocks at mid clip. AAL in rear. Positraction rear diff.
If you do leave the headlights in the on position and get out of the truck with the engine running don't reach in from the passenger side and turn off the ignition only. The lights will stay on. You have to open the drivers door. At least that's how my 04 and 07 are.
