i put 1x6 in the notches to keep ply and sheetrock above the wheel wells
so its not all crooked like, and break the corners
it lays flat in the bed with tailgate open then ratchet down
also keeps lumber and material above tools or other way around, like a dummy floor
its actually a decent feature for contractors

Exactly. They are made for 2"x6"s to span the bed to carry anything 4'x8' etc so it lays flat.

    The notches, ya...

I was referring to the pockets above the wheelwells.

This one is on a textured abs and has raised letters, painted silver to match the truck.

I'd keep 'em.... IMO. The '13 + Tacos don't have them.

Somebody here will buy them, or give them away to a less fortunate member. :)

Thanks for the reply, I plan on keeping them just trying to figure out how to bypass that cubby for the Thule Tacoma mounting kit without tearing it up

Mine just popped out. Use an interior pry tool to prevent scarring it up.

You can spend a small fortune at your local dealer, say $70-80 a pop. Or hit the junkyard.

I used the same type of light on mine. I love it and I get compliments as well. Not because it looks nice but because theyre like "how in the hell did you do that?

Hey Guys, I also wanted to create doors to close off the pockets above the wheel wells. I designed and 3D printed these pieces to create an assembly. If you want details, I can provide more info.

That’s really cool! Too bad my pocket fell out and the tabs are broken so now I just have a hole in my bed and can’t use this anyway ☹️
