I have recently started noticing a noise when I brake. Usually only when I let loose of the brake that first time after puting it in gear. have looked at everything and see nothing out of the ordinary. Any I deas?

How muh lift do you have on the rear if you have any? When i added blocks to my 3" leafs i pulled my carrier bearing apart and the first symptom i had was a weird feeling when braking.

I've owned 3 Tacoma's '05, '08 and the one I have now 2012. They've all done it but never had any problems with it

My brand spanking new 2012 also has a brake clunk noise. I think it's normal. The brakes work great though!

My first gen had a clanking noise due to the wheel bearing going out. On the first gens, the wheel bearings don't show any play when they fail. They just start to make clanky noises over a period of several thousand miles. I think it would clank for at least 50-75k before it ever totally failed. Mine was that was for at least 30k before I figured it out/went crazy. :)
