So, yes - it seems that there is something to the Safari snorkel claim about "slightly improved fuel efficiency".

After my charger install, I lost about 1 mpg during normal driving.
I added the snorkel, and after about 2 months doing all types of driving, it appears that the snorkel "returned" about half the losses. Definitely on the highway.

So there, if you were still looking for a reason to drill that large hole in the wheel well...

Ah yes, but then I won't be able to see the nice Vee the water makes when it flows over the hood - with the truck is still driving.;)

Back-end get a bit floaty though!

Yes, currently comfortably getting over 500km before the light comes on, then another 8-10 L left. Not bad for a SC. I travel close to 800k a week, so any savings/losses add up quick!
Old habits from trips in "dark" Africa die hard!

Not to digress, point being: savings from the snorkel - enough to be noticed.

Thanks - guilty as charged. Did not bother to search!
Was mostly a general comment though - I'll go do the exact math and include a comment on that thread in the next few days.
