    Greetings

I had a 2011 Tacoma Access cab until a few weeks ago when it was totaled by a hit and run driver. It was wearing Aluminess front and rear bumpers and the rear bumper probably saved me from serious injury.

I am replacing it with a 2012 access cab. Since the front bumper was untouched, I worked out a deal with the insurance company to remove it with plans to replace the stock bumper on the 2012. I went and looked at a 2012, and while it looks like they changed the trim a bit, it sure looks the same underneath. I did not take measurements.

Anyone on here, especially dealer techs, know if anything changed on the frame end where the bumper mounts? Any info you can share will be appreciated.

If it turns out to be different, I will be selling a very nice Aluminess front bumper for a 2005-2011 Tacoma.

    Thanks for the help

The car that hit me was stolen and the driver and passengers had just committed a robbery. Through some good police work, help from citizens and an Aluminess rear bumper, I walked away unhurt while the rest of the crew went to the hospital or jail -- or both.
