    So, some of you may recall that I sold my Prerunner to my dad and got myself a 2011 FJ Cruiser 4x4. Well, I convinced him that he needed to add an ARB bumper to the Tacoma and now he has been bit by the mod bug! He went and got the ARB bumper, a Smittybuilt 8000 lb winch, and bushwhackers installed! And now, he actually had the shop order a 6 inch Fabtechw/Dirt Logix lift for it, and likely will be getting 35's after that!!

    Nice truck,:thumbsup: but since it's a pre-run I'd look into some Spindles & Coilovers for the front instead :cool;

    Yeah we looked into that but even though its a DB lift he liked the fact that the Fabtech kit was a complete set with coilovers and all.

    If you're set on getting the Stage 2, I'd definitely call Alcan & order up some custom leafs for the rear to match up with the ride of the front :cool:

    I hear Smittybuilt is a horrible winch brand on these forums.. How do you like it?

    The only knocks I've ever really heard about this winch is that it sounds funny and doesn't pull super fast, neither one of which bothers me. In sheer pulling power and capability, i've heard they are pretty good. I haven't had a chance to test it out yet so I'll have to get back to you on that.

    The issue people were having with them is that the bearing would seize up on them IIRC, there's a thread around here somewhere on how to fix it up:cool:
