Hey TW, I have been lurking around on the site for about a month now and decided to join. Right now I have a Subaru WRX, that I am trying to get rid of.

I am currently looking at buying an 05 - 06 taco when the time comes, 4x4, v6, 6spd manual.
I was wondering what i should look for when looking at buying one. Problem areas with the truck and info etc...

    Thanks

I would consider starting the search with the 2007, especially with a manual tranny. The 05-06 had the majority of the problems with clutches, TO bearings, and transmissions. By 2007 they had most of bugs worked down (not out, but down).

My main concern would be price, Under 20k is what im looking at. and going for an 07 would be really close to that or out of range?

I'm sure it depends on where you are. I bought my 07 with 32K on the clock in mid 2010 for $18K, all mint. It is an access cab, 6 speed, SR5, with a Leer shell. They are out there.

Have you looked up the prices on Kelly Blue Book in your area?

I'm also pretty new to the sight guys and I didn't really wanna start a thread and piss people off. But since we are on the subject of trouble spots. Do the 09's have any major areas I should look at? I'm looking into an 09 DC V6 Taco with 50,000 on it. Any help and knowledge would be awesome guys! Thanks!
