OME vs Biltstein lift kits

OME vs Biltstein lift kits

I am on the toyteclifts.com website and looking all the lifts. I am waiting for my new tacoma to come in at the dealership. Its a 2012 black V6 4x4 access cab SR5.
I want the best 3 inch lift for the best price. Cost/benefits. I am will to spend the extra couple hundred bucks for the ultimate lift but don't know which one is best.
Also the OME one for 700 looks almost the same. Would it look the same? I plan on sticking on the road and some beach driving here and there. I also plan on putting 17 inch rims on it with 285/70/17 tires. Hope that helps

I was wondering would the OME lift have the same appearance as huntntruks lift. I really am leaning towards a lift that did near to what he's got. If the OME will do practically the same than thats what Im more than likely purchasing

Got the OME and love it, the rear still sticks up half inch higher than the front though

Mine with OME 885s & Dakars on 255/85/16 BFG KM2s on 1st Gen TRDs.
A full 3" lift front & rear with shell. Rear would be higher (about 1/2") without shell.

Im concerned about the back being higher although its probably better for when I haul my boat and picking up and delivering firewood. I can't adjust the heights unless I was to purchase the biltstein lift right? If I was to purchase a biltstein based lift kit what biltstein lift is more worth it. One is even on "Sale" for the same price as another kit.
Im still leaning towards the OME just because it seems to make the most sense.

I like the OME after reading reviews. The cost for what you get is nice. It may be more than I need. Army is sending me to Hawaii, so it will become a Mall Crawler, but I still want the extra room and level it out that is why I am talking myself into the 5100s.

It depends on what you need it for, but sounds like the OME kit would work well for you.

Thank you all for the help. I want to adjust the lift more so If I choose between the biltstein whats the radflo front coil over benefits to 900 dollar kit. And If I settle with the 630 dollar kit will I potentially have the same durability and adjustability as the other biltstein lift kits listed on the toytec site

Mine has a new leaf pack. With an AAL the rear wont be as high. huntntruk has an AAL.
The 5100s aren't that adjustable with Ebach coils. You get two choices and the taller setting gives you a stiffer ride do to preloading the coils.

So you're trying to decide between the Bilstein 5100's and the OME shocks?

If I am understanding correctly, the 5100's offer the adjustability (4 front and 2 rear options), and the OME do not have adjustments but may give a better ride quality?

I have the bilstein eibach combo at .85. I love it combined with the wheelers three leaf pack. Sits level and rides smooth. CV boots don't touch either so I don't have to worry about that either.

And then huntntruk comes along and throws a curveball. haha. It seems like a preference. They both are great lifts. Thank you guys for all the help. So nice to see there are people out there willing to share their knowledge to others such as myself that don't know very much. Huntntruk is the prime example of what I want. Ill figure it out.
