    Hey guys,

I'm getting ready to install my beautiful TRD Supercharger on my truck this weekend and the instructions for the fuel injectors have me scratching my head. The directions tell you to put 'Spindle oil' onto the o-rings for the injectors before installing them.

I'll admit I've never done injectors on an engine before but I always thought gasoline was all that was needed for the o-rings. Could anyone with experience on this chime in so I can make sure I do this right? According to my searching no one has spindle oil nearby so if there is a substitute that would be great.

I've put vaseline, or petroleum jelly on injector o-rings, and that has worked great. The idea behind oiling or greasing the o-rings before installation is so they will not catch on the metal and bind up, which will cause a leak. Gas leaks are bad, they lead to explosion. You can also use engine oil if you don't have any vaseline(petroleum jelly). Good luck.
