Now that the truck is lifted I have a hell of a time getting my floor jack to get this truck off the ground. It lifts to a max of 21".

I dont have the room for a bigger jack (one of those kickass long ones.)

I have been using blocks of wood to get direct on the frame however last night I used a 2x4 spread across my front skid plate (all pro IFS) on the bottom closest to the front where it bolts into the cross member.

Its a perfect location (i used the 2x4 to distribute the jack point) however I am worried this isnt strong enough.

    Anyone else used this spot?

Under the control arms doesnt work because they are on too much of an angle.

I only have a slight lift and yeah those little jacks are nice, but they need about 3 or 4 more inches of lift. I like you use a 2x4 or a 4x4 to use it under the cross member, I have found this works the best and then get the jack stands under it.

I usually jack from the large flat spot on the frame just behind the front tire (right about where the cross member is). I've got a larger floor jack but it still isn't high enough so I put a couple pieces of 2x4 to make up the difference and having that large flat spot makes it more stable.
