N-fabs, BakFlip VP, power tailgate lock, bed lights, "raptor" grill lights. Standard mall crawler stuff.

I would like that if my DRL are on my taillights would be on. I run my lights a lot during the day just so my tail lights will be on, does it make a difference:notsure:

Stopping at all or at a light activates the brake lights regardless of any other lighting and unless you are in manual tranny on completely flat ground or holding it with the clutch on uphill, your brake lights will be on.............but agree with the other stuff tho.:D

I've wondered before the importance of having DRLs up front and nothing DRL on the back of the vehicle. I guess it's just so much safer statistically to have the front of the vehicle lit during the day that it doesn't matter about the rear....that or it's a pedestrian thing and a lot less people walk out behind a vehicle and get hit because of the backup lights than get hit walking out in front of vehicles without DRLs up front. :notsure:

My sister doesn't like to follow speed limits even though she has about 10 points on her license, I think, and has paid over 2,000 worth of tickets. She got in her first accident by rear ending someone over the bridge of the local lake by my house when it was foggy probably 50ft visibility. If the guard rails weren't there the other person would have been in the water, the police place the blame on the driver she hit because he admitted to not having his lights on in the fog.

Uhhhh....we're both located in Illinois....I don't think we have the necessary legislators in place to make that happen without incriminating themselves

Come on man you have been on here long enough to know everything goes in the 2nd gen section.

I drive with just my fog and parking lights on in the morning at dawn and at night at dusk. :D

Would anyone like a whaa-burger with those french cries? :anonymous:

Seriously though, I've caught myself driving through the city with my lights off at night. It's easy to do. In fact, I'm willing to bet, MOST people you see with their lights off at night or in bad weather, just don't notice. A simple flash of your lights should get their attention. Hurrying home to complain on the internet is pointless.

I was rolling my eyes at SplitDecision FYI OP.

Thanks for your input. I have never driven with my lights off at night. Not sure how people don't realize your lights are not on at night.

we have "safety corridors" speed limit 55, mandatory headlights on, on all highways and certain stretches where common accidents occurr. Heck its dark most of the time here anyway so most people drive with headlights on anyway and with todays cars having automatic "turn on" light features that really isn't a problem. i have been in dangerous situations when living in phoenix on 1-10 when fog rolls in and people didn't have there lights on, i actually got off the nearest exit to get away from the mess and took side streets. there actually were accidents left and right that day on 1-10. Hell some situations like that even if your lights are on you still cant see more than a few feet from the vehicle. "scary" on a busy interstate at rush hour.

This is also a pet peeve of mine, is it really that difficult to reach up and turn a knob 45 degrees, or less? I've always got some kind of light on when my truck is on the road, if its light enough, parking lights and fogs, when its too dark for that to do me well enough, on come the headlights.

When I had a burnt out fog bulb and was in the process of getting the time to put my replacements in, I ran w/ my headlights on, even in broad daylight. I figure people will see it as "damn its bright out and this guy has his lights on" but they notice me.

Sadly, despite how noticeable my truck is, i feel like people just don't see me anyway. I wish states would implement more laws like jersey, if you need your wipers, you need headlights. enforcability is obviously an issue, but it would make people think. You can never be too safe

Foglights are for fog, not oncoming traffic!
    Fail!
The 'foglights' on these vehicles are nothing more than an attempt to look cool....which most people think is extremely important.
I agree with the OP...people don't understand the practical uses of lights.
