Best upper control arm to get alignment the best.

I was wondering whats the best after market control arm to get the best alignment specs? I'm thinking about pulling the trigger on some icon extended travel coilovers and was thinking about there tubular control arms aswell.

 

Pretty much any aftermarket arm is going to give you the extra angle you need to get a good alignment.
"Best" is all subjective- Less expensive is Light Racing...Icon, TC, etc are more money. If you want to keep all the same parts in your truck...then Icon is the "best." Etc etc...

 

Thanks for the input, i thought i had read a thread some where someone had all pro upper control arms and weren't able to get there alignment to spec. Just throwing that out there. because I believe I saw that post on here. I was leaning toward all pros personally for the cost factor and because I was going to go with there rear leafs. But after reading that post and seeing that down south was selling the icons for like $629 I might just have to go that way.

Light Racing arms are adjustable. The rest simply add adjustment into their design, that is to say they add more caster. The TC arms add 4* of caster.

LRs you can add by * and the camber is adjustable as well.

 

What size wheel and tire are u running i want to run 285/75 16s if i can LR control arms really look like the way to go on my pocket. They would also make the wife alot happier. I've definetly gave them a look and i know i don't necessarily need a uniball. Thanks for the input .

315/75/R16 on a 16x8 4.0 BS.

I had stock TRD 16s with spidertrax and 285s before with the LR UCAs. Was a nice set up too.

They have more travel over the stock ball joints and are a sealed unit compared to the uniball which IMO is nice.

The new ones are shipping with redesigned bushings and ball joint boots as well. The old ones had a tendency to let crap into the BJ and the bushings had a tendency to tear.

Or at least mine did, SPC warrantied both arms, shipping on their dime both ways, without a fight. They were very decent. I only had to install myself, which doesn't take long after you figure out how to do it. I am running 35s and wheel my truck hard though.

I could do both in about an hour now.

If I could go back, I'd definitely buy SPC arms again.

I have DCM's UCA's which are made by desert products. Extreemely happy with these. They are built like a brick shit house and let you bring your truck alignment back to factory specs.

 

I'm running the Light Racing UCAs too....no issues at all. They align perfect errr time

 

I got the LR's and an very happy with them. 23,000miles with lots of salt, sand and snow. The booted BJ were a big sell to me! No problems at all with 285's on stock Sport 17's with 1.25" spacers.

I'm running all ICON suspension and as long as the guy that does your alignment doesn't get lazy, they align great.

 

Thanks for all the info . What wheel and tire combo are u running with the icon coilovers and upper control arms? What are u running out back suspension wise what leaf pack, and shocks? I appreciate the info .

Yup, that was before the install was complete, alignment is now correct!

 

I'm running 265/75/16 Duratracs on stock OR wheels with ICON external resi shocks and add a leaf in the rear. Basically an ICON stage II kit plus the tubular UCAs. Click on the picture below for more info on what I am running.
