hell of a truck man. Looking forward to seeing it in person. I need to start doing some major mods to mine soon... I guess it has to wait until after my wedding.

Thanks man! I'm pretty pleased with how everything is turning out so far. I say start modding before your wedding so your bride to be knows what she's getting into. :p

She already knows. New headlights, grillcraft grill, weathertech floor liners, led interior lights...

After the wedding it will be OME lift, black wheels and bigger tires.

Oh, also I might use your expertise on some new light switches and locations when I do it... I might be an aircraft electrician but I still hate it on anything else.

Sure thing man. I like for the most part where mine are now but the damn LED's in them are blinding! I think I might paint them with some of that Nightshade paint and dull them out a bit. I'd be happy to help, it would be fun to finally meet some more people on here.

Yeah, also if you want a new skid get in on relentless' group buy. We could split the shipping costs that way? Wasn't too bad of price for it either.

Man I'd like to but after the rack build I'm going to have to hold off for a while to build up some truck funds again. Plus the next thing on my list is some Billies and 885's and/or some new rubber.

The name sounds familiar. But she would have been a couple of grades below me. Congratulations ahead of time. :)

Thanks man. I get back from Cal Friday. Plan on being busy that weekend. But, after that we can try to schedule a meet up for some sort of off roading? Just got to find the place.

That would be sweet! I think I'm free then. We should see if any of the other Wichita boys are free that weekend. I don't have the foggiest where any good off road trails/roads are near wichita.

About $130 for the tubing. Maybe $60 for the odds and ends stuff. AKA getting the corners bent, bed liner paint, and hardware. Picked the tubing up at The Yard Store over by the Big Dog factory.

diggin' the rack! can you post closeup shots of the mounting points? also, i remember reading your posts on deciding how to route the wires, what did you end up doing?
(building a roof rack and i want to "borrow" as much info from successful rack builders as possible!)

No problem. I'll have a few more details tomorrow as far as pictures go. Here's the link to my lighting question that was answered by Colinb17. This method was very, VERY easy.

Decided to snap a few cell phone pics. Forgive the poor quality but you'll get the point. We used the stock roof rack mounting locations. As far as double cabs go there are two holes per corner. So 8 holes total. They're covered with some sort of painted over "strip". Just punch a screw driver through it to access the threads. We used the back set of holes on each corner. The rain channel strips were drilled through for the bolts. We placed a stack of washers under the rain strip to keep the rack from pinching/sucking the strip down to much when the rack was tightened down. I hope this wasn't too confusing but it's almost six AM and I'm sleepy. :p
