Drove from Lake Michigan to the mountains in New York...That's one salty Spruce Mica!! The four wheel drive gives me tons of confidence on these less traveled mountain roads :)

    Hey Spruce Mica fans!

I have been looking far and wide for a Spruce Mica, want that color for sure, as my previous toyotas (1995 4x2 and 1996 T100) were both green. But to find what I wanted, I have only located what I want (4wd, DCLB Sport, Entune Prem with JBL) at a dealer 1100 miles away. Im on the verge of making the deal, and apparently I want Spruce Mica so bad, I am going to fly to dealership 1100 miles away and drive it home. Wow. Cant wait.

After 100 hours of research, I bought a Spruce Mica Tacoma 2014 DCLB.

Never been so in love with a vehicle in my life.

    Mods planned:

Leather heated seats (Needed in Montana)
    Powder coat dark grey rims
    leer topper

Got an unbelievable deal and couldn't pass it up.

Funny everyone says this truck is rare, but I see them all over Montana. Counted 4 in a couple days alone.

Awesome! Congrats! Picking mine up on Monday in Oregon. I must have done nearly that much research too! seems like there is no end of info thanks to the www now, eh?

Let me know who you end up going with for the leather seats. my first mods will be the black rims and snugtop.

they are definitely a rare color in southern california. seems like the rockies and the northwest get the spruce!

    Congrats!

I have yet to see ANY in Michigan. I have seen a Camry in this color and that's it.

I'm still on the fence on what to pick up. I was eyeing an Access Cab at first. I love the look and don't like the overall large look of the Double Cab. The utility of the Double Cab just seems way too good to pass up though.

Also, anyone keeping up with the new WRX? I can't help but think a 2015 in blue with a CVT would be an awesomely comfortable but still quick car. Too many options!

lol in a track toy, sure... I'm sick of being the only person who can literally drive my car (I like to sleep on trips too).

I'll definitely be getting an auto on a taco, unless it's purely for the track or trail... which seems unlikely given my budget :D

Jimmy...the salesman, has explained to me that my newly built Tacoma will be here in CT on/about March 20th. It hops a train to Newark from San Antonio, then a truck to CT.

    Two Weeks of travel!?!? UGH!!!

I just realized I miss blowing donuts in my old TRD and fear I possibly didn't do enough.
