Thinking about the aluminess front bumper. Aluminess front b. weighs just 80lb. Anyone know what the stock front bumper weighs, as weight matters? Looks almost factory if you take away the top bars, which I dont want anyway. Powder coat matching paint, and I think it would be an improvement in looks, quality, and safety.

Yes, just the plastic facade 40lbs ...but I am thinking maybe some steel bars behind the plastic, that has to comes off to install the aluminess front bumper.Hope this will be more than 80 lbs. Anyone know? Guess I will contact Aluminess for the installation.

I first tryed to take it off, but it was too much of a PITA...
So I just taped it off, and sprayed away... After cleaning it first ofcourse... :)

Plasti-dip looks way better and it will give protection. I know over time that black plastic will fade and just get more gray..

I was very close to getting white, but the middle of the front bumper really pushed me towards the gray. On my gray I can't hardly see the difference. I thought about nerf bars, bull bar... i thought about sliders, but I can't find any that don't require drilling and I refuse to drill a truck that is a week old. I'll keep this thread in mind if I see anything. Guys do some wild stuff in my area, most of it don't make much sense to me....

^^ I would get some sort of protectant on the lower Valence though... (Aerospace 303 is really good stuff)
Otherwise it will fade over time....

Hey Fern, I was looking at your build info and saw you had weather Tech mats. Are these the ones that look like a for lack of better words, a deep dish pan style? I was thinking about getting some and would like to know how you like them? If they are the pan style do they fit good and stay in place?
