There's gotta be something going on, I have 3x as many miles on my 2014 TRD and I've had the same concern but no worn out fabric yet. I wear jeans a lot, too.

Who the f cares? Be glad he searched for his issue and updated an already made post instead of starting another one.

My 2010 TRD seats look great. I step out and dont slide out when I exit or enter to prevent the side bolstering foam from getting destroyed over time. Plus I shampoo the seats and use an extractor to clean them every other year. I wont sit in the seats if I am trashed from MT biking or loading dirt, etc. I have a towel seat cover that drapes over the chair, that has saved the fabric big time. I use my vehicles for the intended purpose but I also take care of them. My seats I am sure will look a little worn over the years but not horribly, actually I am surprised at the quality of the fabric compared to other vehicles I have had in the past. My father picked up a 2015 TRD OR and the fabric looks pretty close to mine so not really sure

My '13 TRD Sport with 24k on the clock has significant wear on the outside edge of the drivers seat.

I have owned a 2009 TRD sport with 80k in 5 years with zero wear on outer driver seat.
Sold the 09 to replace with 2014 TRD sport with "water resistant" fabric and showing wear on the outer driver seat on the 2014 after only 10k miles.
2005-2011 fabric much more durable IMO.

My seats look okay but it is hard to enter and exit without rubbing your butt on the seat bolstering.

I have the same issue with my 2007 Prerunner TRD. Worn driver seat due to entering and exiting the truck and some visible backrest damage due to friction I guess.

I hate aftermarket seat covers since most look cheap, render side airbags useless and don´t really have a snug fit.

Does anyone know where I can get the original covers without having to buy the complete seat assembly?

And note the OP posted this in December of 2008, who knows how many miles are on it now. (I know I was thinking the same thing when I started reading) Some serious thread necro happening here.
