you did a real nice clean job and kudos to you although I hope you never leave your gun unattended in your vehicle if it is not in a locked safe. If someone should break into your truck its a very easy find to a person that is in the business of breaking into vehicles

Nice jos, I will suggest to have the magazine out and next to the gun, for a "unloaded" find, just in case a nosy cop stumbles over it.

Section 16-11-112(c)(1) of the Georgia Code Annotated, which carries a penalty of up to 2 years imprisonment, makes it unlawful for persons to "own or operate any vehicle containing a secret compartment, to knowingly install, create, build, or fabricate the same in any vehicle, and to knowingly sell, trade, or otherwise dispose of a vehicle containing a secret compartment.12


And Utah's take on it
Finally, Section 76-10-2801 of the Utah Criminal Code titled, Vehicle compartment for contraband – penalties, makes it a class A misdemeanor for a person "to knowingly possess, use, or control a vehicle which has a compartment with the intent to store, conceal or transport contraband." Like California, Utah's statute, which took effect in 2008, punishes manufacturers more severely, making it a third-degree felony for a person to facilitate the storage, concealment, or transportation of contraband by designing, constructing, building, altering, fabricating, installing, creating, or attaching a hidden compartment to or within a vehicle. As in the initial version of the Illinois statute and the current version of the Georgia statute, Utah also employs inference language for determining the existence of criminal intent.1




So, before creating any secret compartments, better be sure to check what crazy laws may be in play in your area.

thats an awesome idea. i think ill do that to hide my wallet in and other valuables.

 

Do you leave the gun in the truck most of the time? I often times have a gun with me for one reason or another, but it's almost never left in the truck if I'm not in it.

As I occasionally have my truck searched entering military bases, I'm much better off having it in the open as opposed to taking a chance on a hidden gun being found.

I'm not against a hidden gun, I just don't know why I'd need to hide one.

In addition: Massachusetts has a "License to Carry"
Meaning You have it in your possession at all times, Concealed or Not.
Against the Law here to leave it locked in a vehicle.

I like the Mod, but it hinders a "Quick Draw", if needed.
