Superwhite! Love your build, im going to work on something just like it...traded my 06 silver for an 11 superwhite for the stormtrooper effect .

My question is about your sub box...where did this sub box come from?

Saw pg 3 on your build, didn't see where the box is from, if you built it or w/e. I'm looking to put a 10 or 12 behind my rear seats just like you did. After reading this, I'll be putting some sound dampener back there. Any pro tips before I go out and get a box/sub to install?

Thanks man! appreciate that!

The box is a plain ol' truck sub box from my local car audio shop. its a 10" and it fits perfectly back there. It definitely not competition ready or anything, but its good enough for me. Maybe sometime down the road ill spend the money and get a nice custom box mad that fill that entire area. It was also my first sub/stereo install, and first time really making anything requiring wood and a jig saw. lol

everything is pretty straight forward. the sound deadedning is super easy. even if you do it after the fact like i did, its easy to pull all thast stuff out real quick.

Follow up on the speedometer/tach/gas gauges ... did you have to remove the dash section itself or do the "rings" pry off? I took a look but am a bit leery.

For the gauge cluster: remove the driver side kick panel (under your fuse panel by the foot rest) there is one bolt you will see at the top. Remove it and pull that portion towards you. Next, remove the two screws above the gauges. They are more like push in clips. Once those are out, snuggly but carefully pull towards you on the bottom light gray part of the day. You will tell when it pops out. Do the same for the black gauge/upper dash portion.pull toward anf down. One it is loose, you will have to wiggle it out between the steering wheel. It's somewhat flexible so you can bend the upper part that is over the gauges a big to clear it. Tilting the steering wheel down helps a bit too. Then, once its out, you'll see the clips that pictured in the OP.

Here's the link I used. It's not for the same project, but it gets the cluster off. Lol

Looks good. Mine are starting to fade and I'd thought about pulling them, maybe I'll get to it now.

Hahaha.. it took me a while to find threads on how to take it apart too. Lol

It takes patience.. a small razor blade and a small flat head. I scratched my steering wheel a little, but you can't really tell. Just cut away at the soft plastic tabs that hold it into the steering wheel. Then I painted, and re-attached with two part epoxy. All the paint Is still holding up perfectly.

Next are the ac vents I think. Lol. Or seats.. but still not sure what to do with those.

So I finally started doing the rings around the tach's, the chrome piece on the shift knob, and painted the shift piece black. The chrome ring around the gears, how did you remove that? I tried a heat gun to melt the black plastic knubs and try to gently pry with a screwdriver but it wasn't budging and I didnt wanna risk breaking it. How did you remove it to paint?

I think I just broke the little black tabs off. Then just used epoxy and covered the surface and clamped it .

word, well i taped off the chrome and painted the whole piece black then taped off the entire piece to paint the chrome green, haha...we'll see. some of the black on on the piece kinda bubbled a little, i cleaned it prior but maybe i sprayed too much...I'll wait till morning to see and also do the tweeter rings. the tach rings look great though! thanks for the inspiration! lol

Dang it. Why you gotta steal all my ideas. Looks awesome man. I'm still fiddling with my door rings. And I think to get the ac vents off you have to take the whole drivers side console apart. That's on my list but I don't want to break back into everything lol.
