Hey guys, I'm new here and new to truck customizing in general. I have a 2007 Tacoma and it's the regular cab so it has that fat ugly plastic bumper on the front. I want to replace it with something but I'm not an off-roader :anonymous: . Any advice on maybe where I can buy the bumper on the higher end models (that are painted) or something else, please help!!

Have you seen how much it would cost to have a body shop color match your bumper for you? I think you would just have to give them the paint code for your truck

Try local junkyards for trucks with your color that have a good bumper. That's probably your best bet, besides color matching.

The problem I have with just color-matching is I hate the plastic bumper on there now. I called my local Toyota just to get an estimate and they said they could get a new bumper from the higher end models painted and installed for 675 so i definitely wanted to find something else lol

    $675 isn't that unreasonable.

Google is your friend, start searching.

I'd steer clear from the dealership on cosmetic stuff. You can find a way to do it a lot cheaper then them. You'll just have to be creative.

Sorry if im not making much sense..
    Here's the bumper I have - http://www.sexyeditor.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/08/2010-Toyota-Tacoma-Base-Regular-Cab-Pickup.jpg
    And here's the bumper I want - http://i643.photobucket.com/albums/uu152/fastprostreet/Tacoma.jpg
Or even one like this - http://www.tacomaworld.com/forum/at...els-i-4-regular-cab-future-tacoma-project.jpg even though it looks the same, it doesn't look plastic.

I've tried some Google searches but to no avail since I'm not sure of the exact terms to search for..thanks for the help guys I really appreciate it

All three pics are the same bumper, only thing additional to pic 2 is wheel flares on the vehicle and on the bumper.

cheapest is to paint stock one if in good shape.

It's in good shape and can be painted. The pictures looked like the bumpers were made out of something other than plastic which is why I wondered if that was an option. I'll look into that, thank you all!
