I have a shipping blanket folded to help level the seat out under the seat cover, a strap that fastens into the seat belt buckle and connects to his harness. I have boxes in both floorboards and a custom pillow that transitions from the seat to the console and covers up the rear cupholders. I've also got at neoprene cover on the console.

When my golden is connected into the seat belt he can lay with his head and front feet on the rear of the console which allows him to nuzzle up right at my side. He has a little water bowl as shown which I've put a little stainless steal mixing bowl inside of for rigidity.

True but all you do is place plywood or plexiglass to keep the wind out & fill with plenty of hay.

This box was built to keep the dogs comfortable in south Texas. We just had a big cold front come in & I set up the dog box as mentioned before with no problems. Two of my dogs also have no undercoat so when it gets below freezing I have to be careful. if it works for them I would imagine it would work for other dogs.

My pup always rides in the cab with me. He's really good about just laying in the back seat while on the highway, but when we pass through cities he always wakes up.

I do highly recommend a seat cover through, this was my back seat after a day at the dog park where I swear he found the only puddle within 100 miles.

That right there ^^^ is outstanding!!!

I really need to do something soon.

I used to let my Lab pup ride up front with me, and I like that. But I know it's not the safest and the cleanup gets old. Plus, her claws will scratch stuff up (not that it's a big deal, but I'd like to avoid it this time - new truck and all). Right now I'm using the wire crate in the bed. I'd like something a little more purpose built. I may also consider a shell.

Just put the seats down and threw his bed back there. My dog doesn't give a shit about anything but tennis balls so he immediately falls asleep just like this as soon as he gets in the truck.

This may be temporary until I get a shell or build something custom?

I rigged this in my truck

    I used this to secure

I bought these from a member here 5 years ago. Finally put a couple to use.

I put a piece of corrugated plastic on top as a sunscreen / rain cover.

And I'm good to go

"The Dude" has taken over the seat seat area and claimed it as his. Seats are folded down and I made a 2 piece plywood platform. Covered the same with marine carpeting. He wears a harness which is tethered to the seat belt. 2015102795112714-1.jpg

Transporting my Labradorks was a big contributing factor to my decision to take the plunge and buy myself a truck. Best investment ever.FB_IMG_1453949482643.jpg FB_IMG_1453949504889.jpg FB_IMG_1453949581088.jpg

21370920_1389852394446699_4437868132763035797_n.jpg I have three RTK's in the back of my truck, with a canopy.
I'll be using my old truck until I get a canopy for my new truck, then I'll transfer the crates to the back of the new truck.

I need to get a current pic of the back of my new truck.
I had a cargo glide installed, after the new canopy was installed, and secured the three RTK crates to it.
