Not the coolest mount, but very practical. The backlight color is set to match the rest of the dash instruments.
Just used the velcro strip to attach to the steering column cover. It's flat enough.
    IMG_1197.jpg
While driving you just lose view of the odometer. But it's right there, natural position to look down at the instruments and back onto the road.

I just mounted mine on top of my steering column. Like others have said, you lose view of Odo and idiot lights.

I wanted something custom and no one else has this setup. I talked to scangauge and they told me that the gauge is a pass through system so they made me a cable so I could plug both gauges together and use the obd II cable into the right gauge. Now I have 8 gauges at once I love it and it Looks cool on the dash

Since my only interest in a ScanGauge is for a distance to empty gauge (coming from an Audi I just didn't think about it being missing in the new vehicle), so I think I'll keep mine in the glove box until I do a road trip. Mostly need the info for towing. I don't care about daily mpg's since I already know the mileage sucks on these (v6) trucks anyway.

Round Step Bars, Bed Mat, Cargo Bars, Rocky Mounts bike mount, JVC MP3 Head Unit, TRD Cat Back Exhaust, Rigid Industries front and rear light pods, dual HAM radio with remote mount heads.

Be aware.. I've found that when towing the gauge can be off by as much as a gallon or so when using the FTE (Fuel Till Empty) readings. Also live MPG isn't all that accurate either. When I'm not towing it's virtually spot on so I'm not sure why when towing it's so off. [BTW I'm getting 20-22 as a daily driver which isn't bad for a truck]

If you aren't updating the scangauge at each fill, it will not be calibrated when you do use it. You might wind up with a very inconvenient surprise.

Can the scangauge be mounted in the dash in the area below the temp and fan dials or is that space filled?
