Tacoma tonneaus

Hi there,

Just wondering if anyone have an opinion about EXTANG TRIFECTA TONNEAUS.
I'm about to get one of them for my Tacoma 2007.

Are they good?

Greetings from California.

I do not know personally, I have always prefered rear hinged soft covers, but I believe that the general consensus on here a while back was that the tri-fold soft covers like the trifecta over time puts too much stress on the cover material itself (you are after all folding it 180 degrees back on itself) causing cracks and over time leaks.

I use an extang full-tilt hinged at the cab, no bending at all of the cover itself, and it sits high enough that that you still retain use of the factory tie down system.

Or you can get something like the Access Limited Edition that rolls up and still allows use of the factory cleats too.

Thank you Maverick89 and Panama Red, for your response to my question about the exang trifecta.

I was ready to buy the cover, but after reading your responses, I changed my mind. I wil buy instead, a hinged one.

Thank you again.

Have a good one.

Trifecta Soft 3-fold cover

I've had mine through two winters and have had no problems with cracking etc. This is a pretty good cover.

It's the only one I've ever had and so far so good. Keep em' clean and they should last a while!

My 2cents worth.

Garbal.

my trifold soft cover (i think its an extang) is crap. the material is stretched and flaps in the wind at high speeds, has several small tears that turned into big rips, the sides that sit on the box are up and down like a yo yo, and it is tearing at all the corners from movement against the frame. just my $.02
