I think it just storage. I stash my business cards, calculator, and peppermints in that spot.

I thought they were just aux inputs to run an ipod and maybe later add something on your own One might be for the SAT radio as well

The only thing I can think is the heated seat option? Anyone?

Now that i think about it i could get another atrac button and use it for aux lights.

I bought a Griffin Tuneflex for mine for $30, and so far I'm pretty happy with it. Here's a link: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000S6LGMM

I have it plugged into the accessory power on the passenger side, and there's a short stereo-mini cable that plugs into the base of that, that I have plugged into the aux jack. It's surprisingly stable, and keeps my ipod charged.

i wonder if that lower console piece with the extra switch holes would fit an 08? i could use the extra switch holes...anybody know if it would? or maybe an easier solution is to just remove it and cut my own holes

That is so that you can rub it in that you have a 2009. :D

I think the alarm option is a port installed one, but I have seen a coworker's truck that had heated seats and the button was there. Don't know why he needs heated seats in San Antonio. It is only 36 deg F outside as I am making this post.
