I'm looking to install an after market stereo that has Bluetooth capability in my '05 Tacoma Double Cab TRD Sport Pre-Runner V6. I decided to do this ever since I've been driving around in this 2012 Mazda 6 rental car that has Bluetooth technology... This stuff is amazing. It's seems like I was using an old transistor radio all this time, then I got plugged into this new way of listening to music and using the phone while driving. Yeah, I know Bluetooth's been around for a while, but my vehicles have never had this. So, it's way new to me...

What I'm looking for is recommendations on car stereo's that are compatible with the Tacoma wiring and dashboard. It's a project that I want to get started on really soon.

I did check out Crutchfield.com already, and they seem to have a bunch of compatibles. But I'm looking for real life stories and experiences...

Any aftermarket will work as far as wiring as there are harnesses to plug into your factory harness. Really boils down to what other features you want besides bluetooth.

There's a JVC digital only head unit on Crutchfield I'm looking at. $115 with install kit and harness and it has Bluetooth.

Nice... Thanks for the tips. I'm liking that Alpine. I'll let you know what I get, and how it's sounding once it's installed.
