Just had Rear Spring TSB done, have question

I've always been told the right side of the vehicle is to the right of the driver, so the passenger side. Looking at the part numbers for the leaf springs they are:

48210-35A20 Spring Assy, RR R
48220-35020 Spring Assy, RR L

Assuming the R and L stand for Right and Left, shouldn't 48210-35A20 be installed on the passenger side? Mine isn't, 35A20 is on the driver side.

For those that have had the TSB done, which part numbers are on which side of your truck?

 

Just got mine done yesterday. My numbers are below. It is also 2" higher in the back. Dont know why they both say FRLH.


Rear drivers 48220-35020 FRLH

Rear passenger 48210-35A20 FRLH

 

also in the bottom right of the sticker the drivers side says 2A18 and the passengers side says 1L27. Dont know what that means either.

 

Anyone know what the frlh means? how about the1l27 or the2a18 on the spring stickers?

 

Fill up the gas tank and check for the lean

 

My tank is full with no lean.

I'm 1/2 inch lower on the driver side than the passenger side. I was even before TSB. Gas tank was at half tank when i did measurements.

 

The taco does lean.... Is the front suspension stock? If not that's why it's leaning. I'll will check my rear springs for you. Also measure from a completely level ground.

 

Front suspension is stock. I measured with park trucked in 2 different spots, both times roughly a 1/2 inch lower on driver side. The "lean" doesnt really bother me just wondering if its because the leaf springs were put on wrong sides.

Magnum 922's leaf springs are on opposite sides as mine.

 

Hey guys I am going to the dealer tommorow to look at the rear leafs, if they give me a hard time about it does anyone a link to the TSB that i can print out? I have a legit issue I think my truck bottomed out twice due the leafs. not just lookin for a free parts

 

Can anyone else confirm what part numbers they have on each side of truck after TSB?

My setup after TSB:

48210-35A20 - Driver Side Rear
48220-35020 - Passenger Side Read

Magnum922 posted earlier and his setup is the opposite mine is so I'm still thinking they put the parts on the wrong sides for me.

what does this do? I just bought a 2012 a few weeks ago.

 

It adds an extra leaf for people having issues with heavier loads.

 

Are the 2012's covered under the TSB now? I have tried looking it up but cant seem to find anything. I would like to get it done if it is.

 

I am not sure about the 2012's I would start by asking Toyota or complaining to them if you have an issue. I am going to fill up my tank after work to make sure I don't have any lean issues.

 

Had mine done back in October on my 2011.

Driver side: 48220-04211

Pass. side: 48210-04571

 

Thanks for the feedback. Looks like part numbers have changed, did a quick search and:

48220-04211 is now 48220-35020
48210-04571 is now 48210-35A20

So your springs are on the opposite sides as mine as well.

Guess I'll have to call Toyota, thinking they messed mined up.

 

Called dealership, confirmed that they did put the leaf spring assemblies on the wrong sides so I have an appointment Monday to get them swapped to the correct sides.

For reference, the correct setup is:

48210-35A20 Spring Assy, RR R - Passenger Side
48220-35020 Spring Assy, RR L - Driver Side
