First of all I just want to say this is an awesome site and I've enjoyed lurking for sometime now. You guys have awesome trucks!

Now, I am going to the dealerships tomorrow to check out a couple of tacomas. Mainly this 2010 4x4 Double Cab, I will provide the link. They have the price at 28,571 with 11,056 miles. With your expertise, how much do you think I can get them to go down?

    http://dealers.aultec.com/v/index.cfm?object=show&DealerID=8043&AutoId=25873769&lang=en#gallery

I live in Texas if that helps any.

I thank you for any information that you can provide!

Id say you could probably get them down to 26 flat. with that truck and those miles it will be hard. my grandpas 2005 tacoma double cab 4x4 sport with 52000 miles still KBBs at around 22-23 grand. So keep that in mind.

I know its a real bummer because I really like the new steering wheel on the 2012 amongst other features. But...I can only get approved for so much so thats why I'm going used. The Dealership said they're pretty competitive on beating your bank too so I don't know whats thats worth.

At least a couple thousand if not more since that looks like a base model Tacoma.

    none....yet
I would go lower or try to get them to approve you for the 2012. I got my 2012 pre-runner double cab sport for $28.5k.

Nice! Yeah I would like to have the 2012 but dang prices are so much for a 4x4. Used 4x4 is more my price range, there is hardly any 4x4's for sale in houston.

That dealer's asking price is way too high for a base model tacoma with manual transmission. Hopefully you can negotiate down to atleast 26k.

I had the same problem when I was looking for my Tacoma. I could get a new one for 2-3k more than a 3 MY old one with 30-40k miles on it. I went new with a Costco price that dropped about another 2500 off the price. Ended up getting a 12 Sport DCSB w/tow package and for 29.5k.

I might be wrong but I thought 09+ tacomas had smoked headlights. That 2010 has chrome headlights. The 1st owner could have changed it but make sure its a 2010 model.

i think only the trd's had smoked, so the chrome headlights shouldn't be an issue

I picked up a 2010 SR5 DC with 11k miles For 25500. It was the dealership demo model and they just put in on the floor when I walked in. Best luck I have ever had. That was in Rhode Island. You should be able to get them down or just walk away. I did walk at two other dealership and they call after I bought this truck with really low price. Too bad they didn't want to deal when I was there. Good luck
