With the key in the ignition and OFF, press and hold the trip odo reset button. While holding the button, turn the ignition to ON, and watch the LED display count down a looong 5 seconds. Yer done.

*edit- make sure your OD is set to display total miles, not trip miles, before you do this. This kind of stuff is also in the Owner's Manual.

The manual should say. Depending on the cluster you choose ODO or Trip 1 with the key off, then push and hold and turn the key to on and wait for it to zero out.
