Ill put up some pick tomorrow.

Got a new altenator the old one was no good. Starter is good. But I need a new battery and need to take my truck to toyota and have it looked over.

Now along with a Solid axel swap I decided i will be buying and installing a snorkel

Sounds likevMud in the alternator to me it clogs he brushes and keeps it from charging. Ha explains the battery light. The battery probably drained out on the drive back. Clean out the old one so you will have a spare. If here was no water in the intake and he truck runs fine now I wouldn't waste the money on the trip to the dealership

Not too long ago something similar happened to me. I didn't know get stuck but I did get plenty of water in the engine compartment. I thought it was the alternator too. Had it tested and the bearing was bad. Long story short after a lot if headache, I found the problem. The wire going from the fuse box to the alternator had a break in it cause by the water. Not sure how that happened but I ran another wire from the fuse to the alternator clip and problem solved.

Replaced alternator and jumped it off. Runs and drives fine. I pulled all my interior out and cleaned it and i am going to put it all back in later.
