Gotta love it when summer gas is in but it's not yet warm enough to use the A/C. I've posted a few 400+ mile tanks before but hadn't yet clipped 400+ miles without the low fuel light popping on. Hell, I still had almost a full gallon to go before the light would have come on (usually pops on at 3 gallons left).

Post 'em if you got 'em... BTW, it's pollen season here in NC, thus the yellow crap all over my steering column and gauges.

*Queue the crap about it making no sense trying to get good mileage in a truck and that I should've bought a Prius* :crapstorm:
Bob should make an MPG forum and us mileage freaks would go hang out there :D

23.6mpg... just .1mpg shy of my best for an entire tank.

I would probably reach that mark if I did any highway driving in my commute. Even though I only drive 12 miles to work/school, its 100% stop go the entire way. I average 17 mpgs.

Ooh I love a challenge! Make it to 400 without a light... gonna be tough, though last tank I almost got to 380 and that was on the winter crud.

As for those Honda gauges - can't trust 'em! I had a tank last summer where it came off full at 140 miles, read lower than empty at 280, and I filled up at 363 with 3 gallons left in the doggone thing.

Hmm. This seems like a challenge. I am going to be heading out of town this weekend for a long 700 km(one way) or so trip. Most of the speed limit along the highway is going to bring me below 2000 rpm. The last time I did the trip I did 575(358 miles) km's before the light come on, this was driving above 2000 rpm etc. So I should be able to do more, it would be great if I did. It's going to be hard since that I am going to be going through the Rocky Mountains. I will try my best.

    400 Miles is 644 km's. Challenge accepted.

In my case the roads were really bad. I wasn't able to really drive all that fast, including the speed limit at a lot of points. Once I adjusted my driving I started getting better kilometres out of my tank. With just my city driving I am pushing out an extra 50 km's per tank with keeping it under 2000 rpms. The first tank in city I did it with I got 480 km's(298 Miles) instead of 430(267 miles).

So keep that in mind. You'll save some gas and push further in miles on a tank if you keep it under 2000 rpms. I found that keeping it under 97 km/h(60.28 MPH) I found that my rpms were below 2000.
