Tacoma Sport Headlights vs Tacoma Non Sport Headlights

What is the difference? I have a 2008 sport and I need to replace. However the non sport seems much cheaper and more available then sport and at half the price. Looking at pictures side by side...they look the same. Now I notice some headlights are smoked, but don't wanna go down that path yet.

I think the 2009 and after are smoked. If it doesn't matter to you just buy the regular ones they are both the same.

They are all the same except the smoked ones in the 09's and newer.

Could be...I have a 2008 sport and the smoke wasn't out. However if I get smoke for headlights then my fog lights would have to be smoked too...I will send out a pic of current lights. They work great, but just have the film crap on the top part of lights. I changed the back tail lights the other day to LED...and it came out clean.

09+ sport should come with smoked. 05-08 sport and base are the same.

I was thinking of BHLMing LOL, but the haze (for me) it to much. What about your fogs...did you mod that too. I guess the fogs are smaller/different in the 2012

I cut some wires here. Added some wires there.
x2. No smoke on my '09

I even went out and looked just to be sure. If that's "smoked" then it's pretty pitiful and completely unnoticeable.

Are they any side by side pics of smoked vs unsmoked oem headlights?

Look like I could get non sport for my sport model since I have an 08...

I also attached my new LED taillights which look real close to OEM, but are not. When I replaced I kept the OEM bulb...it was darker then the after market.

Is this what we're talking about?

This just looks like a glare to me. If this is it then I was expecting something more drastic. What a waste of time and money.

Is there a difference between "sport" and "non-sport" headlight lens in the 2010 model?? Need to know what to order....

There is no difference. The 2010 or 2011 year tacomas came with a black chrome housing as opposed the the regular chrome housing on the prior years. 2012 and later use a different headlight all together.
