I ordered a muffler (model# to the left) from hottexhaust.com and had it installed locally. I get positive feedback on it all the time.

That's weird. I've got the Original 40 Series and it sounds good to me. No annoying drone or pitches whatsoever at freeway speeds. Sounds "best" at idle and low rpms.

When you stomp on the gas with the FM muffler it lags, but when you stomp on the gas with the MF muffler it doesn't lag. That is what i noticed bwteen the two mufflers. My first muffler was the Supper 44 FM and my second muffler was the MF 14". The FM sounds a lot better in the lower RPMs and the MF seemed to give the truck a little more performance.

Correct me if I am wrong anyone.

"backpressure" with the FM... so this means it hurts our MPG's more?

just imagine the resistance fluid has to overcome to travel through a twisty, restrictive system. the mf has a less restrictive system, so there is less bp
