Something Buzzing/Virbrating under dash behind steering wheel

Have any of you had an issue with a cable harness or other component coming loose and making a buzzing noise anytime a vibration is experienced by the car? Even a low frequency sound from my radio will get whatever is lose to buzz. Truck is a brand new 2012, this type of stuff shouldnt be happening. Any idea if this is a free fix at the dealership? Its extremely annoying and hard to ignore.

 

If yours is an automatic, check the little pocket under the right side dash, the place where your right knee would end up if you stopped very abruptly. Sometimes that piece of plastic doesn't fit as snugly as it should and it will rattle when you hit some bumps.

 

It sounds like it is near where the windscreen and dash meet. Is there something that mounts in that area under the dash?

I have this problem too SOMETIMES, seems like cold days, when radio is turned down obviously, and any bumps.... Sounds like my Iphone is on top or inside my dash ringing. Doesnt happen all the time, but very annoying. Im out of warranty unlike you... If i brought this problem to the dealership under warranty they would tell me "we couldnt diagnose the problem because we cant get it to happen" bullshit. Hate Herb Chambers

 

I went to the stealership to get my first 5000 maintenance visit done and told them about the rattle. They obviously didnt fix it and its getting worse. Is there a how-to for taking off the dashboard? Im sure its just some cable harness that is vibrating against something.
