Figured, we sometimes breakdown, in shitty places. What are some unorthadox ways you've saved yourselves?? Chrome wont get ya home, but knowledge might!

In case of Belt blowing on side of the highway emergancies, and your stranded with a spare belt but no tools, your tire iron can be wedged between the tensioner pulley and the lower right one and you can move the tensioner to replace the belt.

There is a coolant line right top center near the main coolant return hose from the Radiator:



It loops to a connection underneath and behind it about 8 inches worth of hosing away. If your belt blows, there is a rare potential of it taking out this line in the process as the stock clips aren't very heavy duty. You can take the hosing from your windshield washer system, and use it as a temp replacement, zip tieing the ends down, to hold pressure. I refilled my lost coolant and it held under pressure for a few hours till I could get to a car parts store to replace it.

If you pop the bead on your tire and have a can of starting fluid, squirt some fluid into the seam and light it with a match. The secret to not killing yourself with this one is to go easy on the starting fluid. I've seen a video where the people almost blow themselves up in the process. I've used this trick on our backhoe and it does work.

 

We used to do the same thing working at a tire shop when I was a teen.

Helpful tip to people doing that, IT DOESN"T TAKE MUCH.

Remember, if you used too little, nothings harmed and you can just do it again with a little more, if you use too much, then your fubar'd.
