that hit in the video didnt even look that bad.

I hit a hard pack whoop at 50 out in ocotilllo and I swear i popped both tires and wrecked the ifs.. nothing happened except a hard slam.

The engine moved a lot and destroyed my aftermarket airaid intake tube and dented my headers though.

Maybe it's just because I'm watching the video on my phone but I'm suprised you sustained that much damage from the impact. After seeing all the videos where members huck their truck in the dunes with fewer issues (sand can't be that soft).
    Good luck with the repair.

Edit: just checked out your. Build page (damm phone) and I am even more shocked! Looked like a pretty solid truck. Almost make me think twice about running as hard as I do with my truck( almost).

Man that air bag must be sensitive? That cam angle did not look that bad of a hit.

It seems I remember some one saying one air bag can be about $2000-2500. Two air bags can total a car. Not sure if true?

That's just one of those things about being on the trail..anything can happen and there's so many variables that can cause damage it would be hard to compare to something else..
Last week for example I destroyed a rim going less then 3mph on some rocks..anything can happen..

Good point, we weren't there so should not rush to judgment. Sometimes my reply outruns my brain....

I know it didn't look that bad I camera..to explai that woop section, the distance from top to the bottom Of the second one was about 10 feet. Top to lowest point in the woop was about a foot deep probably. The woop probably wasn't that bad its the fact I landed nose first on an upward slope of the next

Oh and as far as what I felt it didn't feel like I hit that hard, but I think I hit just right to set the sensor off..the air bag didn't even touch my face and I have no bruises from the seat belt

Your truck should be okay bro. Maybe you could reinforce the crap out of the chassis so you won't brake anything... Beef up the motor mounts...

yeah I am just worried about the price tag on the airbag and seatbelt. I've been saving for a new laptop and looks like that'll have to wait.

Anyway, filled her back up with oil and no leaks! I'll check again tonight to really make sure. I fired her up and the radiator fan turns on, rubs the shit outa the shroud and then turns off. My friend was saying that the fan is probably has a saftey thing built into it so if it feels any resistance it will turn off..like in case it was your hand it wouldn't keep turning.

I drove the truck around the block and notice the idle was pretty rough. I've always had a rough idling problem but its way worse now

Anyone know anything about that fan though..does what my friend said sound right?

definitely lol. I found my next mounting position for the go pro though...suction cup to the back window facing forward...that would have been the BEST angle to see this in. See the airbag deploy and my glasses fly into the back seat :D

Try to call California mini truck and see if they can sell you an airbag and seat belt.

This, & you can also get a length of pipe or good 2x4 & find a spot (between the frame & engine) to pry UP on & take note as to see how much you lift the engine, it shouldn't move more than a half inch in any direction, if you have an auto trans. put it in drive & while holding the brake slowly apply a little throttle & watch to see if your motor takes a little "jump", do this with hood up so you can see....;)

Damn, sorry to hear about your truck. I'm surprised this kind of damage happened with such a light impact. Good luck on your parts search

I really don't think this is the case. Ive already started it up and drove around. I had my buddy tap the gas and the engine didn't move anymore than usual. It's always moved a tick. I am 90 percent sure that when I bottomed out my wheel well got pushed up, thus moving the radiator ad shroud up. The whole core support got tweaked
