When I cleaned mine out, it was some nasty dirty stuff..Must be a drain there for the windshield..Next go around, I think I'm going to hose it out and see what comes out.

I think this is a good idea. I assume it is from the area at the bottom of the windshield. I did not check for a drain hole and I did not run a hose thru it but I know I should. Let us know what you find if you do it and I'll do the same. Thanks.

 

Yes I'm pretty sure it comes from the cowl between the hood and windshield, right under the hood the plastic cowl has some openings, I put some plastic mesh under it now leaves do not go through it, it has helped a lot.

 

Your absolutly right. Mine were spotless... and i park outside! About the only thing around here is dust and tumble weeds.

 

That's a great idea. Also, cover the opening above the cabin air filter to keep leaves and critters out...

Yeah did that too, but I need to re-do it as I used plastic mesh there too, I don't think the plastic is strong enough to keep them out, so need to get some aluminum or steel mesh like that

 

As long as U R taking pics and posting them how about taking one of where to put a screen on the drivers side ? Is that chicken wire - 1/2" square screen or what do you call it that you put on the cabin air intake ?
