AAL at 118,000??

Hey all tw members, gotta question for those who know about suspension..I have a 2005 dlcb with 118k on her. As it sits now, I have 5100's up front at .85 and a bone stock rear (not even the tsb). So here's my question. I know that a new leak pack for the rear is not only $$ but lifts the truck up around 2 to 3 inches depending on what u get, BUT, I dont WANT to go any more than about an inch or so lift in the back (i dont want my front 5100's over 1.75)soooo, what do i do???? is my stock 3 leaf rear suspension too old to put an aal on??

 

I bought my 2006 with 144,000 on it. The front had a 2" spacer lift on it and the rear was stock. Needless to say, I was sitting nose high. Also, my rear suspension felt dead. When I went over speed bumps at slow speed it had no bounce to it all. I installed a Wheeler 1 1/2" AAL and it raised the rear a little over 2" and put it right where I wanted it. Also, it seemed to bring the rear suspension back to life. It now feels like it is actually doing something.

 

Put in the AAL. It's not all that difficult to do yourself if you follow the writeup found on this board. You will be thrilled with the ride difference.
