I got a couple of sand bags in the back for just a little extra weight. Probably don't really need it too much since I am in 4WD 90% of the time.

I keep hearing people say that they dont need weight in the back cause they have 4wheel drive on. I bet that most of you ( not all ) will keep some weight in the back of their trucks if this just try it. Serveral times this year I took out the weight out of the back due to moving furniture and other junk. And sure enough I got caught the next day in a snow storm, I was to lazy to put the weight back in after I was done. It makes a big difference even with the 4wheel on. But if I lived in a place that only really got a few inches now and then I probably wouldnt bother with weight either. If it gets much worse on my street I will need to put on tire chains. My road is terrible in the winter.

Yep, I put about two hundred pounds of sand (bagged) in my bed in the winter, my last truck I did it with, this will be my first winter with the taco but I will still do it even with 4x4..

any need for extra weight if you have a few adults in the back seat? or is that not close enough to the rear axle?

I used to put sand bags in the right rear of the bed because of the taco lean when lowered. I installed beefedtaco/streetaco custom blocks. Kinda uneven still but its just when i full tank it with fuel.

Truck dont have a rear bumper, no spare tire, and i only weigh 130 lbs. 6 PSI of boost is pretty fast!

I had some weight in mine, and when it slid up near the cab it was useless. If I kept it near the tailgate I actually noticed an improvement. So more people in cab may not help.

I generally keep about 180 lbs in the bed throughout winter, and when it gets really nasty I'll add a little more (300 lbs). Around here, we tend to get ice about as often as snow, and the extra weight really helps.

I use studded tires and 4wd in the winter. No need for weight with 4wd here. I find added weight really makes stopping distances increase by a great bit.
