Yes, I am fairly sure the 2009 is when the new connectors were used through the wiring harness. Based on those storms that rolled through last night, where you located? Or was it just offorading?

    Holy suck. :(

No way to take it apart and rebuild?

Im guessing you pulled the plugs and cranked it in hopes of getting the water out?

Brother borrowed her and parked her in the creek. Thats a whole story in its self. Would rather swap engine than take the time to rebuild, May need a core, Looking for a engine wondering what model years will fit?? Removed plugs drained 8 quarts of water from engine replaced oil & starter , soaked cylinders with oil no water in tranny, diffs or transfur case, cranked engine at least 1000 times with plugs out lubing cylinders along the way sounded ok no abnormal noises installed plugs coil packs etc. Tried to start turned over afew times and locked up tight removed plugs relubricated cant turn her over with starter or breaker bar on front of the engine??

Insurance will pay for it. Thats why you have it. Be ready for the rate hike.

Sucks that it's like that with engines. Should allow for a few year window for repairs.

If his old ECU is good, he should be fine. That is the only way they would be able to tell.
