gray wire mod for 2nd gen tacomas??

does ne1 know if the grey wire mod works on the 2nd gen tacomas??? the grey wire mod lets u use the factory diff lock in 2h, 4h and 4l. check out www.4x4wire.com/toyota/minutemods/greywire_mod

Yes...it will work. The grey mod was for older Tacoma's and the new generation is the basically the same with the exception of different color wires to locate.

wow this one looks alot harder than it does for the 1st gen tacomas!!! is there a more simple way?? do you know if it will hurt the rear axle??

No, it won't hurt the rear axle. The axle in the 4WD is the same as the 2WD. The 2WD is already configured with the grey wire mod because the locker is engaged anytime(below 5MPH). The relay is not difficult to install from what I see and read...you have to have a way to switch the locker on/off.
