Alarm Icon Flashing VERY Fast

I've only had my 2012 4 door, 4x4 a few weeks now but have not ever noticed the alarm system icon until tonight. Seems like it is just flashing way too fast - c/d there be something wrong? I tried unlocking the truck and the light went out when I started the truck but it started flashing again as soon as I took the key out of ignition (even before locking it) Thanks for any info

 

Is it the light on the dash board under the stereo? The one with a car and key? If so I read that as soon as you take the key out it will turn on signaling your engine immobilizer is active. Since you can turn your truck over with the key you have the key has a valid key code. You should be good.
