Viper 5901 command center

Im trying to adjust the crank time on my viper 5901 but I lost the sheet that shows you all the different settings and how to get to them when using the command button. Can someone help me out and tell me how to get to the crank time adjustment and what increments it increases by?

 

Unless you have a DEI bitwriter you have to take it into a DEI dealer to have them change the crank time...it cannot be done from the remote.

 

Ive done it before, I have a button on my antenna that I can adjust all of those settings myself. I just lost the paper that shows me how many flashes go with what setting.

Edit: It is on page 16, and yes you can change it without the bitwriter.

 

A thought here, and I am by no means a professional in the starter/alarm world or on the starting mechanics of a Tacoma ... would adjusting the crank time even effect the truck??

The reason I ask is that I have a DEI starter on my Pontiac and it refuses to start cold. I was told by my installer (DEI certified genius guru) that although crank time can be adjusted on the unit, it would not effect the car. My Pontiac cranks for a set time regardless if I hold the key or barely tap it, thus the same crank time when pushing the remote button.

 

When using the remote start it definetly cranks longer than when im starting it with the key, im not sure it will work but figured its worth a shot.
