Yes there is a way to change that. I don't recall exactly how to do that, but it is in the settings somewhere. I have tried both ways and think that I have settled on staying on the app screen.

Push the APPS button. Then the SETUP. Then the GENERAL. Scroll down until you see AUTO CHANGE TO HOME SCREEN and then uncheck box. That should do it.

So, I have contacted Toyota to try to find out if the ancient 3 year old ENTUNE systems have a possibility to be updated to the newer versions with really no expectation of a good answer. I know I have seen people use their rear view mirror screen and ENTUNE dash screen for multiple displays. Samsung has screen mirroring options with phones, tablets and TV's. If there was a way to mirror my phone image to the ENTUNE dash display the software in the dash unit would be irrelevant. After all the screen is just a screen right? If I could display anything from my phone to the dash as simply a repeater display I could get maps, movies, texts and pretty much anything my phone tablet or computer could get. anybody have knowledge or skills to make this a minor adjustment somewhere? I'm stretching it but when I bought it I knew it would become obsolete in a short time. Knowing there was a computer in the system I thought it would be able to be modified with a little ingenuity but so far I haven't seen anything promising. All I have seen is minor updates, complaints and aftermarket installs. Any insight would be awesome. I know it's possible.

No. The Entune system would hang up and then reboot itself randomly while playing music from the iPod. The iPod itself had no problem.

Don't feel alone or bad. Mine does the same thing. I thought it was the iPod (classic 180gb) at first, but using it by itself is fine. Seems to do it more on a long trip so I use the SAT until I get bored. :)

Well my screen suddenly stopped working Saturday. :annoyed: The stealership is replacing the entire unit under warranty fortunately.

Toyota just confirmed via email that the latest entune is still the 3.2 for my 2012. It's getting old...fast.

    Check this out:
    http://www.cruxinterfacing.com/products/WVITY-01/index.html

It looks like a phone mirroring device that would work with the stock Toyota navigation screen for around $300. I have read reviews on Amazon and a Tundra owner said when the devices is operating it only works as a bluetooth screen mirror to the head unit but when activated and not screen mirroring you can apparently use the head unit functions as if you were stopped overriding the driving safety features. This may be worth looking into

That wouldn't surprise me. In my email I mentioned that whenever I ask about entune nobody knows what I'm talking about. So if 3.3 existed, the entune people themselves don't know ha ha. If you do have 3.3 do you notice anything different? I'm starting to look at options like the pioneer avh-8000nex. I didn't want to go aftermarket but there is a noticeable difference with 2012 to 14's and up. We are the forgotten head units.

I have an issue with it saying my accounts are not linked. But I have linked and unlinked and relinked to no avail. I've done it by phone and by computer even created brand new accounts to see if that helped nothing. Any suggestions?

Is there anyway to stop the screen from turning on night mode whenever the head lights are on?

Or are there any hacks to trick it into thinking the vehicle is stopped so I can scroll through my Pandora stations without it yelling at me.

Can you tell me what material you used to make this hood and where you got it? I would like to make one. Looks like a great design.

It can be done but it messes speed readout of the GPS. Some where on TW there is a thread about which wire and a switch.
