Well, I traded a Ridgeline for my 09 Tacoma. Actually, if the 09's had been out for a while longer, I probably would've gotten another one. I had my 06 Ridgeline for a couple of years, and it was very functional for my purposes. I was really impressed at how well it handled a load, and compared to the shortbed Taco, I think it actually will hold more stuff. The back seat is definitely more roomy. It doesn't really drive like a pickup, or an SUV, kinda has a drive all its own. They are just kinda neat vehicles - although pretty doggone ugly. I'll probably end up with another some day. I can tell you that it DID NOT make anything like the infamous Ticking noise that Toyota can't seem to get rid of.

I voted Nissan(given the choices) but I would probably move up to a full size Chevy Silverado.

I used to always want a Jeep Comanche but never bought one.

There is only one choice for me and that is a Chevrolet Silverado. It gets about the same fuel economy as my Tacoma. They are priced reasonable now that the economy is in the toilet and I'll always be a Chevy man but damn, I love my Tacoma.

It's not on the list.....but if I "had" to buy a American vehicle it would be the new Hummer H3T. I watched a video on this truck. It climbs like a mountain goat.

The H3T might not be bad. Is it built on the Canyon/Colorado though?

If I couldn't have a Tacoma then I would just go full-size with a GMC Sierra Denali + Hybrid (I think I may have blended those 2 to my liking). The styling killer, interior luxurious, and fairly economical - a great road trip car to take all the guys skiing, camping or riding! This is why I loved my grandfather's '08 Escalade short of not having a bed.

Had the same problem couple of years back. I got the Tacoma :D(3rd Toyota truck for me) and the wife got the Frontier crew cab w/supercharger and full size bed. It's a nice truck but I've always been a Toyota guy. Last 2 had over 180,000  on 'em when traded in.

We looked all over, but couldn't find one in good enough condition, or 4X4 within a reasonable distance....:(

+1 on the Frontier. Than was my second as well. At first I wanted a mid size Chevy but the Canyon was crap. "F" Dodge and Ford. and the Ridge line is not worth $40,000.

F-150--almost went that route used - the deals were out of this world. But my wife liked the size of the Tacoma for maneuverabilty (sp?)

old comanche , was definatly a good truck other than the crappy paintjobs they were doing back in the 80's.i gotta go with the f150. the little taco is an ok truck, but little, only reason i bought it was gas at 4.50 a gal,and it was the cheepest option for me at the time, still built in the u.s. if i knew then what i know now would have held out a while longer and gone ford.i've owned a lot of fords over the years , and have always gotton good service out of them
