Contemplating a Supercharger....

The Ucon is definitely first on the list. It's jut more expensive obviously. Not 100% sure the Ucon will work tho with the quick research I did. Being my truck is an 09.

 

With an -09 later, you will be stuck with the factory reflash.

If you are willing to cut and splice into you factory harness, you will have other options.

Is that including the Unichip. I think that was the reason I wanted that one. It supported a S/C and worked with 09+. correct me if im wrong.

On another note, I though about getting a S/C too! Then I realized I dont have the $$$ just to buy one, let alonr pay for install :'(

 

I can not advise you on the uni-chip.

 

I have installed the TRD. It is a rather easy install. You would still need to have the dealer do a reflash ( if you were not doing an APR or a U-Con)

 

I've only drove one V6 in my life and they seem to have enough power as is.

 

I have the TRD S/C kit on it plus it's CPO'd to 100k miles so I'm happy.

Not neccassarily true...I drive my truck without ever going into boost...on the freeway before I SC'ed it there are a couple mountain passes where my truck would drop gear and RPMs at 3800 and with the SC it stays at 2100 rpm without ever downshifting making the engine more efficent...I use to beleive that to but I dont alot of research before making the purchase cause that was a concern for me...unless if you do like superwerty and take it to that extreme I can see that being viable

Ice considered saving for a blower, and kings, and this and that, then I realized I'm actually going to be living up north probably in the next year or two, so a prerunner won't have as much fun on mountain trails as a 4x4, so pretty much as soon as the Tacoma is paid off, its getting sold and a 4x4 bought. Hopefully a used one with low miles ;-)

Hah, I still have a good 3 years of paying on MY truck before I try to sell it lol. I'll still probably end up throwing some nice suspension on it, and getting it all trail ready and armored up and then as soon as I get the title, selling it for what its worth and then putting all that down on the exact same truck..only a 4x4 lol. I'll make the decision then whether to return it to stock and sell, so I can put everything on the 4x4, or just redo it all again
