Hey Ive searched for a bit, can't find any info on this... but im looking to put an ARB awning onto my rig. What is best, OEM roof rack with the awning, or would I need something else such as a Baja Rack? Just confused as to what I need to get this setup on my truck.
Does the ARB roll up and stow onto the roof rack? any help would be much appreciated.

There is no way you could mount an awning on the oem rack. You would need a rack to mount it to and even then you could only use the small 4ft awning. I've got the 6.5ft awning. Mine is mounted to my Xsporter bed rack along with my RTT. The awning itself rolls up into the protective cover and is velcrod in place and them the cover is zipped up.

It's just the right size for me. I even have the mesquito net for mine which will come in handy this time of year. :)

I'm not to familiar with the oem rack but if you could somehow mount Thule crossbars and then bolt L brackets to those then it would work. I used L brackets for my setup as well.

i may go for the 70" campinglabs awning.. same as the arb but bigger than the arb 4' but less than the 6.5' hmmmm. Probably gonna go with this 70" model and the OEM roof rack:)

Reviving this old thread.. Did you end up mounting it to your factory rack?
