Aftermarket wheel fitment question

I've searched and I can't really find the answer i'm looking for. I want some new wheels for my Tacoma, already checked and my current tires (265/65/17 Dynapro ATm's) will work with the wheels I want. My only question is will these wheels fit without any issues? Backspacing is 5.5", lug pattern and width are good the only thing i'm not quite sure about is the 18mm offset. Any info is much appreciated.

P.S. Will any TPMS sensor work with the Toyota system or do I need Toyota specific sensors?

Only the stock TPMS sensors will work with your car. The TPMS module is coded and linked with the factory set, so it will not read any other code.

 

Ok, thank you for the info. Looks like my summer set of wheels and tires is gonna go without TPMS sensors lol. Any idea if the 18mm offset on the wheels I want will create any issues?

 

To be honest, I don't know much about the offset these trucks can take, because I just got mine last week! But I did swap my wheels out and that's how I know the TPMS wont work with it. Only thing you can try is swapping the sensors. I have that damn light on all the time now.

 

the 18mm offset will fit fine with that tire size you listed. it's going to sit 1" out more than stock. if you go with a wider tire in the future, you might run into clearance problems on the inside, but a spacer/adapter to push it out for a more aggressive look should take care of it.

For you to have those specs, you would have to have a 17x8.5 rim. Given that you plan on installing the same size tire, you would be pushing your set up out .6" (14mm) from stock.

 

Waited too long to order the vtec's now i'm having a hard time finding a set of them in stock or a place that can give me a time frame on when I can get them. I decided to look at alternatives and I like these as much as the vtec's....

I'm staying as close to stock wheel specs as I can and i'm also gonna stick with stock tire size. I know the backspacing and offset should work but what about the hub bore? I've read several posts on here that say hub bore on our trucks is 108mm i've also read several posts that say its 106mm. Anyone see any reason why these wheels wouldnt fit without any issues?

SCS wheels do look pretty sick but I still think i'm gonna go with the Dale Jr. Ribelle's if they fit properly. I wanted to put them on the '08 Jeep Wrangler I had before I got the Tacoma but I couldnt justify it because they would have taken a beating off road.
